Hey everyone! I have some very sad news for all of my friends at dogs with blogs. It has been over a month since I last posted and I blame my mom who has now started college and has been more swamped with college and a job (and me of course) than she thought. The news is that I will be leaving the dogs with blogs community. It makes me so sad to tell you all this, but I told momma that I wanted to tell you all of my departure rather than just leaving you all hanging. I hope that you can all understand, but you can always pee-mail me! Its just that there seems to be no time for my momma to help me blog now.

You all have been the bestest of friends through all of your love and laughter and I wish you all the best in your dog years (hammie years for Girl Girl!). Have happy holidays and lots and lots of lively licks :).

The Switch + No longer puppy breath...

Hey everyone! Yes, the time has come where I, the Queen no longer have that adorable puppy breath. It all started when mom came home with a huge bag of Adult California Natural food for me from Beastie Boutique. For din din, she added some in with my puppy food. First thing I noticed was that the adult food was bigger and a different shape than my puppy food! Just look at the two compared below.

The adult food tasted more..well sophisticated hehe. It makes me feel sorta more grown up now! Oh, and here is what the bag looks like after a couple of uses.

Hhmmm, so now that the switch is underway, mom thinks that I need to change my signature from Puppy breath to something else, but I have no idea what?! Any suggestions?? I know some of you all have really neat sigs, so Im open for ideas! Oh and LuLu wants to say a couple of words....so me being the good sister I am, well here he is...

So as I was enjoying my nice little nap by the window in the sun (pardon the yucky patches on my lower tummy, thats where the stiches were!) and momma comes in saying Ive got mail!!

3 postcards from the lovely Girl Girl and Eli!! The postcards are so neat, it was nearly impossible for me to sit still so momma could take a photo of me with them!

So thank you very much, getting mail rocks!

What doesnt rock though, I hear mom talking about getting tickets for the first Winterhawks hockey game on Friday, and more to come! Ugh, mom why do you have to be such a big hockey fan?? I demand bully sticks for the long night alone in my crate! Anyway, thats it for now!

Holy cowdoggies its been WAY too long! We can all thank my momma for that!! Her and her silly excuses mean nothing to me unless I get a cookie to go with it...or two! Hehe well lets see Ill get you all upto date on things.

First, on August 18th I recieved the Silver for Roaching for the Pawlimpics! Hooh-rayyy! Momma says shes so proud of me! Hehe there was a lot of good competition, and I also so that a lot of you are also getting medals as well, thats fantastic everyone! Congrats to all of you.

And of course I just know that all of your are curious as to how little Louis is doing, the stinker is fine, causing more trouble than I did of course! And...well..getting me back into some old habits, like chewing on moms shoes and peeing on the floor once in a while. What can I say hes a bad influence! But...he is cute. In fact, whenever we go for walkies and into Beastie Boutique, hes ALWAYS the first to get attention. Makes me a little jealous Ill admit but thats ok. Once he gets bigger his face will get ugly! Hehe yeah that was mean..ok well if you have brothers or sissies you all can relate right??

And tomorrow is my 6 Month Barkday! WOOHOO!! But get this! Momma said that for my barkday, were going to vet...say what? Why? Im not sure yet, she hasnt told me. Something about 'heat'. I hope I get something yummy after it!

Anyway, hopefully well get back into the swing of everyones blogs, I just hope I havent missed too much!

Date with Petey in NYC

Last night I had my very first date with none other but the sweetest, scruffiest Petey! He is doing a "Bow-Chelor Doggie Style" thing with tons of lucky females and I was the first!! I was flown in to NYC on Aire-Ruby (man that thing is classy!) and he met me in NYC and off we went!

Petey showed me so many neat things. He first took me to Central Bark where there were tons of other doggies.

I think Petey noticed some of the other male doggies looking at me, but I tried to ignore them and pay all my airetention to him! He is so handsome and it isnt nice to look at other male doggies on dates.

And look at this cute photo of us with the bunnies!

So then he showed me his favorite local place to eat where we enjoyed pretzels and tube steaks.

Mmm, you sure cant get those here in Washington, Petey!

After telling him my favorite story was Stuart Little, he took me to the Conservatory Pond just like in Stuart Little!

Petey ended the date by taking us on a magical carriage ride.

Our friend Mango took over cause that huge horse was eyeballing us cause of our size! Ill show her! Thanks Mango for stepping in - that could of gotten nasty.

Lasty, Petey showed me a mosaic that said "IMAGINE" which I didnt really get but it looked pretty.

Suddenly, Petey brought out a beautiful red rose and asked me to accept.

The King has Arrived!

Yay! Today King Louis came in from Missouri and boy is he LITTLE! Hes little, and hes so flippin cute! I mean really, was I that cute mom?? Please say yes! Anyway hes fitting right in, though Im worried hell get more attention to me. I mean I am only a dale. But hey she chose me and not a basset! I just wanna play bitey face and romp with him but mom says hes too young for it. Plus he doesnt have very good balance and he ALWAYS trips on his huge ears so I guess Ill have to wait a couple of weeks to show the little fella how to do things around here. Anyway enough of that, here are some pictures of him!

I was feeling a little left out cause after all he is the new pup on the block, so I decided to kick it with mom.

Hey everyone! As of now mom has successfully opened her very own dog treat site on Etsy.com! Yay mom! Yay you guys! do you know what this means???? More treat making which means more tasty treats in my mouth mmm! .. Bagels, Boxes and Brothers Oh My!

Mmm-mmm! sorry everyone, Im enjoying some of this absolutely wonderful bagel and cheesy-cream that momma let me have. But trust me it wasnt easy.

I had to beg... just look at my perfect begging stance!

And viola! Hehe mm that sure was good mom, thanks!

Onto other news. Mom finally recieved the box full of boxes (what?!) so she could package the rest of your treats up so were getting those in the mail today, and tomorrow, yay!!

And while she was doing that, I was doing some very needed box edge chewing!

And to the BIGGEST news of the day!!!

IM GETTING A BROTHER!!!! Thats right a BROTHER! Ive never had a brother before! My auntie yesterday couldnt help but getting the dog shes always been wanting - a Basset Hound! She named him "King Louis" His whole name is super long and french and my french isnt very good hehe. It was moms idea cause the Basset Hound breed came from France so she suggested to name him something french! Enough of that, do you want to see some photos of his handsome little face??

Isnt the little stinker cute? Hehe hell be coming in next weekend, boy this should be fun! Ill keep you all posted, take care everyone!

New Collar/Leash & Ball!

Hey Everyone!! Today mom said something came in the mail for me! Guess what it was?? A new collar and leash! Check it out!

Pretty neat colors huh? Mom said my purple one was getting old and dirty..so she though it was time to update! hey I got no problem with that mom! Hehe. And I also got a new squeeky ball woohoo! This day just keeps getting better!

And yesterday, mom and I sent out 6 lucky boxes! For those of you who get your boxes, (this applies to all of you), if you could get some pictures of you eating the treats we can use them as photos for whatever treat it is! So YOU might be chosen to be seen on our site, isnt that neat??!We apologize though, we didnt have enough boxes, so Im making mom get some more ASAP so she can get them all out to you guys by like Monday or Tuesday, so just hang in there everyone! Im Back! Update on Torri's Tastys

Hey everyone! I am back from our trip to Astoria, and let me tell you I had sooo much fun! I didnt want to come home yesterday. I met TONS and TONS of new doggies at the hotel and plus, everyone wanted to come and pet me!! I love attention hehe. Here are some photos of me.

And this was literally right outside our hotel, a great veiw, and even a very nice airea to pee and poop in!

As you can see, for my first vacation it was all an exciting new experience. Plus I didnt pee or poop in the hotel once!! Mom was really proud of me for that, especially since we stayed on the very 4th floor.

Now to business, mom has recieved most of your payments via paypal and shell be looking for the others coming snail-mail this week. I told her shes gotta start baking this week cause I know all of your mouths are salivating everytime I menton the treats hehe, so Ill let you all know when we get the first bacthes in the mail.

Happy 4th! And Torri's Tasty SAMPLES!

Hey everyone! Happy 4th of July!!! I have a couple extra minutes before we leave while all the girls in my house are running around getting everything organized and so I thought I should do a short post on things regarding the samples.

So as you all can see, our winner was the Veggie & Cheese Terrier Tea Cakes (mmmm!), along with the "Good Dog" Carob Chip Cookies. So when you get your box, you will see those, plus possibley some of the Original Peanut Butter Biscuits and one my mom just made the other day called "Mega Meaties".

Thanks to all who voted and who wants to be a super-taste tester!! Be sure to make your payments so that when we get back we can get everything sorted out and ready to go for you all! Torri's Tasty SAMPLES! And Beach trip

Ok everyone, I finally pulled some strings after all of you. You all said youd LOVE to taste test for us right? Hehe WELL! Mom and I worked together to sort this out so that way you can all get to try some of my mommas amazing treats and critique them for her. Arent you all glad youre my friend? hehe.. Heres how its gonna work:

Everyone who replies to this blog and says they want to recieve treats will all be written down so we know who to send these little goodies to.

Since shipping food items can get a little pricey, mom asks you to please send $2 ($3 if youre international) to pay for shipping, and to email us your address at queen.gaia1@gmail.com. From there, we will give you our address to send the money to, OR if you have a Pay Pal, you can send us the money through there. Once we have recieved the shipping money, well bundle up your goodies and get them in the mail pronto! Shipping money should be recieved by July 12th so we can ship your treats while theyre still fresh.

I will put a poll up on the top right hand of my page for you all to vote on which 2 (or possibley 3) of the Tasty Treats you would like to recieve. The poll closes at the end of the day on July 3rd so vote as soon as you can, and only twice please. The majority will win!

So thats it! Oh, and Maggie & Mitch youre out for paying shipping since Maggies barkday is coming up. And mom asks if anyone knows how to work with photoshop better than she does (shes good but not THAT good), she asks to note her in the email about it, shes got a special task for you! And lastly, for the upcoming holiday (the 4th of July of course!) I will be gone from the 4th-6th because my mom and her family and I are all going to Astoria, Oregon for a mini vacation. Microchipped

Hey everyone! Im offically microchipped, as of yesterday, yay! I got it done at a Recycled Arts festival at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver.

At first I was really scared cause the needle was HUGE! But my auntie held me while my mom took photos (thanks mom..) and the real nice lady with the needle did it and it only took a couple of seconds but ouchie man...

Heres me when it was done, I was sure glad it was done! Sure you can pet me, I like you! Despite the fact you shoved a HUGE ASS NEEDLE in my NECK!

oh well at least if I ever get separeted from my family hopefully someone will know where to find me with this thing in me. AND PHEW! It sure is HOT. Holy cow-doggies, I have no idea what to think of all this darn heat. All I know is that its making me super-uncomfortable! So I made mom got me a new toy and some Pegetables (that were on sale cause they had a hole in them, SCORE!) to make up for it hehe.

Oh, theres suppose to be thunderstorms here in the next couple of days, woo-hoo! Means extra time in my moms bed getting extra cuddles hehe... and Im also competing in the paw-limpics for roaching and sleeping!! Who else is competing?

Feeling better and Moms dog treat business

BTW, it says I posted this Tuesday the 24th...but I posted it TODAY which is Thursday, the 26ht.

SO! Im feeling better! Mom has been feeding me rice and gave me a tiny bit of Pepto Bismol yesterday and Im feeling better, and looking better too! And best news of all....my poop is back to normal!!

Hey I think this photo could have gone into Deetz's scary eye photo contest, too bad its a little late hehe.

Anyway, as some of you know my momma loves to make her own homemade dog treats. Well, she was thinking about starting an online business of it kinda. What I mean by kinda is that she would sell them on a homemade only website called 'Etsy.com'. Sounds like a fab idea to me mom! She has been working very hard recently to make some really yummy dale approved treats. She was thinking of the name "Torri's Tasty Dog Treats" - that are Pawsitively Delicious! To which they are..sometimes hehe... Anyway what do you think of that name? Is it silly? I told her something like "Gaia is a lovely, perfect dog that will eat Torri's treats anyday" but she said its too long or something. Sheesh, wheres the love mom?? Hopefully the business will be open before or around August or September so fingers crossed.

She says she wants to have a small variety of treats so she doesnt get too overwhelmed with orders. Here are some with their descriptions:

"Good Dog" Carob Chip Cookies (Regular drop cookies made with dog-safe Carob instead of chocolate.)
Original Peanut Butter Biscuits The original biscuits are classic hit to the dog kingdom. Simple, but packs the punch with flavor and love. Bone or paw shaped.)
Dipped Rawhide Sticks Sticks (Rawhide sticks dipped in carob, white chocolate, and peanut butter frosting. Optional: Sprinkled with bacon bits.)
Veggie & Cheese Terrier Tea Cakes (A personal favorite to my dogs, made with extra cheddar cheese and fresh carrots. 3 sizes- small, medium or large.)
Bad Breath Banishers (Let these cookies chase away your dogs’ bad breath with fresh spearmint right out of my garden. Spearmint is also a natural calming herb for your dogs’ stomach. Baked to pawfection and topped with a carob mint. 3 sizes-small, medium or large.)

Not feeling so good...

Hey everyone, today I am not feeling very good. Ive had the "hershey squirts" over the past 2 days and Im not sure why. Momma doesnt have a clue either. I was feeling fine and normal yesterday like a normal puppy should be running around crazily and wagging my little nub for a tail but today let me tell you, all I want to do is sleep! I woke mom up this morning and she let me sleep with her on her bed with her for a bit but I kept groaing so she got worried. She gave me some rice with my breakfast kibble but I just didnt feel like eating it. I dont think Ive eaten anything bad recently..no cat food, no dirt, no...oh wait I did eat a bug last night, but I dont think that could be it. Mom recently switched my food over to Blue Buffalo but she had been mixing it with my old food for 2 weeks so its not like I wasnt used to it. Maybe it could be too much for my stomach but it tastes fantastic! One time yesterday I did have a normal poopy but that was it. Moms been making sure I drink lotsa fresh water so I hope I feel better soon. I think mom is gonna take me to the vet if I keep this up. I dont really like the vet but if it makes me get better then I guess Ill do it. No pictures today either sorry, just not feeling upto it.

Trip to Merwin Lake

Hey everyone! in spite of the warm and beautiful weather, mom thought she and her sister would take me down to a lake not too far from us. The lake is actually part of a huge dam!

Alright, Ill stay on the leash even though theres no one here..

Oh come on! Well Im sure no one will mind, Im cute anyway hehe. Oh! And Im wearing my "Adventure-Dale Bandana"! I can only wear it when Im on exciting adventures.

So we got down to the beach and Ive never been in any other water than bath water..

Mom had to chuck a stick in the water to get me in.

BRRR! Ok, thats enough water for me. Lets go on a hike!

Computer Difficulties...and bubbles!

Ok, so recently modern technology has been lagging and been really ticking me off! For some odd reason sometimes when I go to comment on all your blogs it freaking says its having 'technical difficulties' (my ass!) and earases all that I have commented on for you guys. So I am apologizing now, thats why Ive been somewhat absent on here.. hopefully itll clear up soon and if not, Ill have to find some way around it to comment on your blogs. And momma bought me a fantastical gift, doggy-safe bubbles! And theyre in a shape of a bone and they smell like peanut butter (this is a direct gift from doggy heaven!).

New friend April

Hey everyone! Yesterday my mom had a bridal party to go to. Little did we know there would be other doggies there too!

Meet April. April is a black standard size poodle. (Much like Sir-Sparky!)

At first she ran upto me and scared the buh-jesus outta me, but she let me sniff her and instantly became pals! Momma just loved her coat, it was all nice and curley! Just like mine will be someday. She was even wearing my favorite color; purple!

Pretty soon we had to go, cause I was hungry and needed a nap! hehe..bye April!

Oh look!! You can also see where Im losing my black and more of my red/tan is coming in just on my left shoulder.

So anyday now Im expecting a package from Stanley and Stella from the international goody exchange, and Ive got some very special gifts for Neko going in the mail soon, oh how Id love to show you all what I got but I know my mom would kill me. Plus we sure wouldnt want to ruin a really good surprise.

Sardines for Breakfast and 'Shake'!

So as most of you know, mom was given the idea to feed me some sardines once a week cause itd be good for me.. so when she went grocery shopping the other night guess what she picked up? Thats right, sardines. YUK....

So as you can see Im feeling pretty darn skeptical of the matter.

Mom opened the can and I could smell that ... it really didnt smell half bad.

OMG THESE ARE DELICIOUS! Watch me chomp away, I wouldnt even let mom take them away to put them on a plate I just wanted to eat them out of the can hehe..

Hey everyone! Usually I try to space out my posts but I was sooooo excited about this that I have to share it with you all! So today mom and I went out in the BLAZING hot weather to do some earrands. I told mom many times I was sooooo hot and uncomfortable but she was doing all she could (I made her put the Aire-Conditioner on HIGH hehe). Anywho theres this really neat pet store somewhat close to us called "Beastie Boutique"that mom and I decided to check out. Unfortunately mom didnt have her camera with, but the main point is that I am SOOOO excited about is that they gave me .......

FREE FOOD!! Thats right everyone, free food samples mmm-mmm!

The people there were very nice, and they taught mom some really interesting stuff like the RAW diet which weve heard is pretty common and to give me sardines once a week....? You really gonna do that mom...?? Oh well atleast she got me this to make up for it, yum! Thats a cheesey twist and a mini yip.

There was even a Beagle/Basset hound mix boy in there named who was willing to let me bite his ears a little bit. I hope I get to see him again soon. Anyway, thats it for now!!

NEW STUFFIES!

Hey everyone! Guess what? Recently Ive been doing so well on chewing everything, mom FINALLY decided to get me some new stuffies! Here they are, all three of them! An eco-friendly reindeer (I told mom it HAD to be eco-friendly) and a weird red long loofa toy, as well as a fleecey rope! I guess its suppose to help clean my gums and stuff so yay hehe! Plus I like the colors.

This is what my Yak looks like after just a week! Also in the photo of all of my toys you can see my sock monkey also took some damage...(mom: He's missing an ear and a limb!)

So now I have a very bootiful selection of toys! I couldnt pick which one is my favorite because they are all good!

Guess who's home!!

First of all sorry I havent posted sooner, I have been keeping mom EXTREMELY busy! And so as most of you already know, I landed safe and sound in Washington on Thursday night. The aire-plane ride was very scary at first, but since I had my kong with me with yummy peanut butter and a Ziggie inside I kept somewhat busy. Mom and her mom, and my moms friend all came to the cargo area to pick me up. Mom was sooo nervous, and so was I! But most of all I just wanted to get out of my crate after being stuck in there for so long. Then soon enough, some man picked up my crate, set it on the counter of the enterence and said "One puppy!" which is when my mom and her mom both sprung up to see me! Mom says I looked exactly like I did in the pictures, I dont know what else she was expecting hehe. Mom tried to take a picture but I was so squirmy it came out blurry but Ill show it anyway.

We then went home and mom let me spend half of the car ride in her lap, and the other half in my moms moms' lap. I have been chewing on ALL of my toys plus the carpet, shoes, drapes, blankets, chairs and everything inbetween that suits my fancy. Mom has been teaching me things like sitting, and laying down on command which I can now do both already. Heres a video of me sitting down for mom. You also hear her say something about a bath which well get to in a minute.

Shes also been trying to get me to pee outside which has happened a couple times (I accidentally made a couple of messes on the carpets) whats the deal with peeing outside anyway?

Shopping & Almost Thursday

YAY! Thursday is ALMOST here (its so close I can almost smell my new mom!) It is literally driving both me AND my mom CRAZY with anticipation. We really appreciate all of you who are counting down with us, so we will be sure not to dissapoint you all with our Airedale adventures.

So this weekend I gave mom a list and she went puppy shopping for me. Ill give you a list of what we have so far plus photos, and then if we forgot anything, before Thursday evening is the time to tell us.

17th Annual Walk Run for the Animals

Hey everyone!

Today was the 17th annual Walk Run for the Animals. The event was held in a beautiful, lush park in Downtown Vancouver, Washington. The purpose was to raise money for the Southwest Humane Society http://www.southwesthumane.org/ (to which at the end of the event made around $7,000 or more!) Unforuntately, I was unable to attend, but I told my mom to go ahead without me and to have fun, so she did!

She saw tons of really sweet doggies that I would have loved to have met (so mom you owe me, were going for sure next year!)

And look, mom even saw a sweet Aire-girl! Ill admit Im a little jealous to show this picture but mom insists...

Thats her recieving the pet and attention from my mom I should be getting...

Also the countdown is on! 4 more days until I relocate to my new home in Washington with my new family. I recieved my Kong toy in the mail today so here is a picture of me with it, I love it, so thanks a bunch mom!

Hi, Im Gaia. I was born on Febuary 21st in Ohio. My hooman and I decided to start a 'blog' because we saw other cool dogs doing it, other Airedale terriers who look just like me! I am very 'timid', but I know I will grow to be the strong Gaia I am with time.

My new mom and I have not met yet because I dont get to leave my home until May 8th. I just cant wait to meet my new family! My hooman seems very sweet and is even sending me a Kong toy to chew on while I am flying to meet her!

Well, I hope I get better at this 'blog' thing.
